Short version: Quit Smoking Tracker is designed for habit tracking, motivation, and self-reflection. No account is required. For the current version, user progress is stored locally on your device, and the app does not currently use a backend server.
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Quit Smoking Tracker handles information for the Android app and this website. The app is designed for habit tracking, motivation, and self-reflection during a smoke-free journey.
The developer/contact for privacy questions is support@syedshahbazhussain.com.
2. Local app data
No account is required to use the current version of Quit Smoking Tracker. For the current version, user progress is stored locally on the user's device.
The app may store information you choose to enter or generate while using the app, such as your quit date, smoke-free progress, craving logs, cigarette logs, journal entries, reminder settings, achievements, milestones, and estimated savings settings.
The app does not currently use a backend server for user progress. This means the current local-first version is not designed to sync your personal tracking history to an app account.
3. What we do not do
- The app does not sell user data.
- The app does not collect precise location.
- The app does not request camera, microphone, contacts, or location permissions.
- The app does not require an account for the current local-first tracking experience.
Android, Google Play, your device manufacturer, or your email provider may process technical information under their own policies when you install the app, update the app, manage device settings, or contact support.
4. Permissions and reminders
Notification permission may be requested only if you enable reminders. If you do not enable reminders, the app should not need notification permission for reminder scheduling.
Reminder data is used to schedule local notifications. This may include reminder type, reminder time, enabled or disabled status, and related local settings needed to show the notification on your device.
You can manage notification permissions in Android settings. If notification permission is disabled, reminders may not appear.
6. Your controls
You can choose what tracking information to enter. You can also reset or delete local app data inside the app settings.
You may also be able to remove app data through Android device settings or by uninstalling the app, depending on your device and Android version.
7. Future premium, cloud, or AI features
If future premium, cloud sync, account, AI, or other online features are added, this Privacy Policy will be updated before those features are used.
Future features may have different data handling requirements. They should not be assumed to work the same way as the current local-first version until the policy and app screens explain them.
8. Health disclaimer
Quit Smoking Tracker is designed for tracking, motivation, and self-reflection. This app is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
If you need medical help, emergency help, or professional support for quitting smoking or nicotine use, contact an appropriate qualified professional or local emergency service.
9. Website
This website is a static informational site. It has no login system and does not currently include ads, analytics, or contact forms.
If you email support, your email provider and our email provider may process your email address, message content, and related delivery information so we can receive and respond to your message.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the app, website, features, legal requirements, or platform requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when this page is revised.
